Thermal neutron measuring system

The 3He proportional counter thermal neutron detector has high detection efficiency in measuring thermal neutrons and epithermal neutrons. It is generally used to measure reactor thermal neutrons. Main functions and uses of 1. equipment

The 3He proportional counter thermal neutron detector has high detection efficiency in measuring thermal neutrons and epithermal neutrons. It is generally used to measure reactor thermal neutrons. Radionuclide neutron source neutrons are generally not measured by bare tubes, mainly because the detection efficiency of 3He tubes for fast neutrons is low, and most counts are contributed by room scattering background neutrons.

 

Technical requirements and main specifications of 2. equipment

According to the working principle of the thermal neutron measurement system, the thermal neutron measurement system consists of He-3 proportional counter, preamplifier, high voltage power supply, scaler and measurement system. The main technical parameters are as follows.

2.1 He-3 counter tube

1) Ping length: ≥ 200V;

2) Flat slope: ≤ 2%/100V;

3) Repeatability: ≤ 5%;

4) The uncertainty of the detection efficiency of the counter tube: 8% (k-2);

5) Working voltage: 800V ~ 1200V;

2.2 pulse signal counting type integrated circuit measurement system

Pulse signal counting type integrated circuit measurement system includes a preamplifier, high voltage power supply, scaler, the analog circuit part includes a battery power circuit part (wherein the battery can work continuously for 8 hours when fully charged), a high-voltage chip power circuit part, a power filter circuit part, a preamplifier circuit part, a main amplifier circuit part, a baseline recovery circuit part, a voltage comparator part, a liquid crystal display circuit part and a serial communication circuit part. RS485 communication protocol is used to communicate with the upper computer measurement circuit.
